The last time I saw this beautiful gal, she was still in middle school. I can hardly believe that she is already in her Senior year of high school. She is still just as lovely as I remember and we had a blast running around the Montage in Laguna Beach. Although the weather was bad, bad, bad…..she still looks stunning. You can see from the last image, that the thick fog rolled in during our session. A little grey weather didn’t put a damper on her beautiful smile. It has been about a month since I last photographed in The Mission in San Juan Capistrano, so I was surprised at how many families were visiting. The day was gorgeous, and there was even a Mariachi band playing in the background. The perfect atmosphere for a family photography session. The Mays are new to Blue Sky’s Studio, referred by one of my friends and clients who I work with on a charity for CHOC hospital. They are truly a lovely family and I really enjoyed getting to know all three generations. Didn’t they do an amazing job on their clothing style. How did they know that I love burnt orange?? A perfect color combination to get everyone in the mood for Fall. Between their beautiful daughter and their handsome son, no to mention the rest of the family, I think they are blessed with some pretty great genes! The beauty of working with a couple over a long period of time, is that in the end, I get to call them friends. That is definitely the case with Hope and David! These two have been together for several years and so, when they started to plan for their wedding day, they wanted to make it everything they had dreamed of! From their wedding ceremony at Laguna Village to their amazing reception at The Hills Hotel in Laguna Hills the day was planned to perfection. The best part for me, was getting to shoot the “Day After” portraits. That is right, the beautiful Hope put her dress back on and actually got into the ocean. Not bad for a gal who had really enjoyed the party the night before. I am so bless to do something I truely love and Hope and David…. I truely loved you two! Enjoy!

Over the years I have been involved in literally thousands of photography sessions. Sometimes it is hard for me to recall the ones from several years ago, but a few stick out in my mind. I worked with a beautiful young girl and her brother. She was born to be in front of the camera. The entire session I was laughing and loving all of her poses and moves. I was sure that prior to the photography session she had a Vogue Magazine ear marked with every different “look” she wanted to achieve. Fast forward 5 years to the Newport Fun Zone. She and her beautiful Auntie booked a last minute sunset session. Although the temperature was a little chilly, this little gal Rocked every look once again. She is destine for super stardom and I am just so lucky that I will get to say “I knew her when she was just a little girl”! Enjoy!
