Sarah and Shawn: Laguna Beach Wedding Photography

The day started just a little gloomy and we feared perhaps the rain would come in….but by the afternoon, true to May Gray’s form, the sun was breaking through the clouds. The great news for both Sarah and Shawn was that the overcast light was a perfect compliment to the bright colors they chose for their wedding at Laguna Village. Not to mention that everyone looks beautiful in wedding photographs that are taken in soft, even light! Sarah’s two boys helped her get ready and fussed about as if they were the parents for the day. Sarah, surrounded by her friends and adoring parents, looked beautiful. Shawn, although a little nervous, was beaming. Emily and I really enjoyed the beautiful day… topped off by a crazy good dance from Sarah’s son and Mom! Enjoy!

Smith Wedding- Laguna Beach Wedding Photography

April is typically unpredictable! Sometimes it is cloudy, some times foggy, often times rainy…. but not for Chris an Colleen. The most beautiful day of the year just happened to fall on their wedding day. It was completely magical with the warm air and dolphins jumping right off shore. The wedding ceremony was at beautiful Laguna Village and all the details from beginning to end were taken care of by the fabulous An All Inclusive Event. My favorite part of the day was when Chris said his vows to Colleen’s daughter. It was so touching and I definitely wiped tears from my eyes. And although Chris lead me to believe that he was planning a surprise honeymoon in Vegas, he fooled everyone by taking Colleen to the Ritz Carleton in Hawaii. This guy is a definite keeper! We ended the day with a wedding portrait session at the Montage Beach! I had such a blast getting to know this beautiful family! Owen Wedding: Laguna Beach Wedding Photographer

I peaked out my window the morning of Travis and Katy’s wedding and was sad to see the rain POURING down…..I think they say it is good luck if it rains on your wedding day, but “They” must not be a photographer. Anywho, Anna and I jumped in the car early and headed down to Temecula praying that the rain would let up, especially since the reception would take place at a Golf Club! It continued to rain through the ceremony, but the sky’s opened up just in time for us to do a beautiful bride and groom session in outdoors. As you can see, it would have been a shame to have to go indoors for all of the portraits. Katy looked stunning and Travis looked star struck! These two we so sweet together. Not to mention that they both has fantastic families and wedding parties. Katy’s Dad’s wedding toast was the best I have EVER heard! Seriously, he should be a comedian. Enjoy the beautiful images!

Angela and Ali’s wedding: Laguna Beach Wedding Photographer

Anna and I were so fortunately last week to be involved in all of the festivities leading up to Angela and Ali’s Wedding Number one (Wedding number two will be in India, complete with an elephant!) Angela looked stunning is her fuchsia Sari with all the beautiful accessories to match. Ali was so easy going and fun and even let us take a portrait of him getting his hair done by two stylist! You could tell immediately that these two were loved by friends and family alike. I heard so many words of praise for Angela, from her employers to her family to her best friends! And Ali’s family and friends all flew out from New York on very short notice to share the wedding day. For me, the day was a dream come true. I loved all of the details of the ceremony itself and the beautiful colors and fragrances that were a part of the ceremony. Thank you so much for letting us share the day with both of you! Enjoy~

Villa Rockledge Day 2: Laguna Beach Wedding Photographer

Day two at Rockledge was spectacular. The wind was blowing just enough to kick up the bride’s veil, the light was lower in the sky and perfect for beach photography and the bride and groom were obviously very much in love!!!! A big shout out again to Berit, from Makeup by Berit for doing a fantastic job once again on the makeup, thank you to Caroline from Robert and Taylor’s for doing a great job on the hair. The beautiful lavender boutique was design by Weddings by Melia and the set up and yummy food was provide by An All Inclusive Event at Laguna Village. All in all I would say that Villa Rockledge is just a dream for a photographer. Each time I visit I find more stunning locations for portraits.
