First and foremost I want to welcome my new beautiful, talented and all around great gals, Emily and Rachel!  You haven’t heard from me for about a week, cause we have been busy, busy, busy training and getting then up to speed on everything Blue Sky’s!   Second, I want to share with you these adorable images of my friend and client, Lisa’s, new baby girl!  Although it was really tough to get a big toothy grin from her, I love all the different expressions we were able to catch.  Thanks to her big brother for coming to the rescue and entertaining her during the session.  He got lots of funny faces and event got her to stick out her tongue!  Enjoy!

Sometimes when I slow down to think for a little while, I realize I have some really cute props, outfits, hats, etc… that I haven’t seen in a while.  Take this cute heart chair for example…. I love this chair.  When I found it I thought, “this will be great for sassy (yes, I know this is my favorite word) senior shoots, fun boudoir sessions and of course kiddo sessions.  But then, I got busy and piled lots of stuff in front of the chair and forgot about it for a while.   Sooo, when these great clients asked for something with a valentines feel, I thought, yes, I have a great chair that would be perfect in the park.  It was like finding an old friend and I got excited all over again.

The chair worked out great, as did the fun tutu and wings.  Anna and I don’t usually shoot in Irvine Regional park and now I am wondering why?  It was so beautiful with perfect afternoon light and the kids loved the pond and were really engaged during the whole session.  I am definitely adding Irvine Regional Park to my list of favorite places to shoot.  Thanks to these two cuties for making such great models.  Enjoy!

Every once in a while I photograph a child that was born to model.   This beauty definitely has Ford Modeling potential.  We started just a little slow so she could warm up to me, but by the end of the shoot, she was all smiles and new poses!  In fact, she didn’t want to leave the beach!  I think she is gorgeous and was a pleasure to work with!  Here are some of my favorite images from her shoot!

Every year we get together with the Cronins and the Martins for a little craziness and this year did not disappoint!  I had checked the tide charts and knew we had to hurry if we wanted to catch a few images with the “castle” background!  I told all the kids to run over quick and get together.  On the way to the sandy spot, a wave came out of nowhere and pretty much soaked everyone!  I am so glad that no one got upset and just went with it.  I am so sorry that a few pair of shoes got ruined, but everyone kept smiling.  Each year with these kids is more fun for me.  I love to see how they are growing into individuals with different senses of humor and personalities!  Thank you so much to everyone for being such great sports!

Just a few short weeks ago, the weather was Hot, Hot, Hot!  We searched for a quiet, shady spots to photograph these four beautiful kids in their very fashionable Fall attire.  What excellent sports each and every one of them was to be dressed so warmly on such a scorcher of a morning!   Well you certainly can’t tell from the portraits that they were in the least bit uncomfortable, so THANK YOU to you Goodwin Family!  Enjoy.
