Okay, I know it is bias to say this is my “favorite” family, but I really, really love them. Jan and I share the same ethnicity (Jan I know you know what I am talking about). I think everyone has a friend that you think, “if only my kids can grow up as great as her kids, I will be able to say I am successful as a parent” (in this case the oldest two kids… as her youngest is the same age as my son, but fabulous in her own rite :)) The best part of the session was that not only did I photograph John and Jan’s immediate family, I also got to work with all the extended family (who, by the way, are also fabulous people). I hope you enjoy the portraits as much as I enjoyed shooting them!!!!
Thank you to everyone for helping make 2011 Blue Sky’s Studio most successful year to date! I know I have been MIA, but with shooting, processing and meeting with clients, my plate has been full. However, hopefully I am now back! I just wanted to share one sassy family’s photography session! More to follow. Thanks to the Morris family for reminding my again why I am in love with photography!
WOW is it busy here at Blue Sky’s Studio! We had so many photo shoots and holiday card orders in November that we literally did not have a minute to sit down and blog. But it was totally worth it because we have had some amazing family sessions and some killer holiday cards this year (patting myself on the back for the holiday cards…….and kudos to Kristin, Anna and Emily for all the fabulous pictures). Since it doesn’t look like we are going to slow down until almost Christmas, I thought I would just blog some of the super fun holiday cards I have had the pleasure of doing this year. I can’t post all of the gazillion cards we have done, but here are some of my favorites so far. Don’t be bummed if you don’t see your card on here……these are just a few off the top of my head and well frankly, my memory is not my strongest attribute! =) Enjoy and Happy Holidays! -Sriti
Happy Friday everyone! I just had to share my family shoot for 2011 that Kristin did. As always, the girl did a stellar job. We had so much fun in Venice and Laguna Beach with her. Even though my little man was not in a picture-taking mood {the kid is 2 and has his own ideas on what we should be doing on a Saturday morning…..so stubborn…..I have no idea where he gets that from….. ;) }, Kristin was still able to get some great shots of him as well as everyone else. It helps that she has killer skills and speed with that camera of hers. Thank you Kristin for the great pics! Now I can get cracking on our Holiday Cards!
It has been about a month since I last photographed in The Mission in San Juan Capistrano, so I was surprised at how many families were visiting. The day was gorgeous, and there was even a Mariachi band playing in the background. The perfect atmosphere for a family photography session. The Mays are new to Blue Sky’s Studio, referred by one of my friends and clients who I work with on a charity for CHOC hospital. They are truly a lovely family and I really enjoyed getting to know all three generations. Didn’t they do an amazing job on their clothing style. How did they know that I love burnt orange?? A perfect color combination to get everyone in the mood for Fall. Between their beautiful daughter and their handsome son, no to mention the rest of the family, I think they are blessed with some pretty great genes! Thank you so much for trusting me with your family portraits! Enjoy.
